Twin Shadow Talent Bio:
George Lewis Junior best known as Twin shadow, is a singer. He is known for his albums “Forget” which was released in 2010 and “Confess” which was released in 2012. His third album Eclipse is set to release in March of 2015.George was born in the Dominican republic and raised in Florida. His first claim of spotlight began when he started singing in a church choir as a child. He was influenced by punk music and he listened to artists such as Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Boys II Men, Keith Sweat, and Bobby Brown. In 2000 he moved to Boston and started a band name Mad Man Films with Joseph Clampini who played the drums and Zak Longo who played the bass. Mad Man Films released two records independently. In the year of 2006, Lewis wasn't pleased with just recording music for theater and films. He decided to move to Brooklyn New York and he began working on his Twin Shadow Project. Twin Shadow became the Rolling Stone Band of the Week in 2010.
Later 2010 he released his album and Forget. It was described as “steeped in the 1980’s wave”. In 2012 he released his album Confess, which was self-produced and released. His inspiration for the album came about after he had an motorcycle accident in Boston. Two of his singles “Five Seconds” and “Patients” were made into a music video saga, which came from Lewis’ novel Night of the Silversun. In 2011 Twin Shadow performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, The Sasquatch Music Festival, The San Miguel Primavera Sound, Pitchfork Music Festival, and The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. He was the supporting act for Florence and The Machine on several performances on their 2011 US tour. In 2013 he was featured in the video game Grand Theft Auto V as a DJ for the radio Mirror Park Radio Station.
