Formed in 2010 in Sydney, Australia, Rufus also known as Rufus Du Sol is an Australian alternative musical dance group that is currently signed to Sweat It Out. The group consists of members Tyrone Lindqvist, James hunt, and Jon George, while they specialize in multiple genres of dance and music such as house, alternative dance, and indie dance. They have cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 140 thousand likes on their Facebook page, over 100 thousand followers on their SoundCloud account, over 10 thousand followers on their Twitter feed, and their music videos have racked up millions of views online, including the video for their hit track “Take Me” which has individually been viewed over 2.8 million times on YouTube. In January of 2016 it was announced that they were one of the acts chosen to perform at the very popular and massive music festival Coachella 2016 in Southern California.Since breaking out on to the music / dance scene in 2010, Rufus Du Sol has released 10 singles, 4 Eps, 7 remixes, and 2 full length studio albums, which have been very well received by fans and critics alike all over the planet. Their debut studio album “Atlas” reached #1 on the Australian Album Chart and #1 on the Australian Indie Album Chart, and also won them an AIR award for Best Independent Dance / Electronica Album. Their second album “Bloom” reached #1 on the Australian Album Chart and #14 on the New Zealand Album Chart. They are a unique one of a kind performance group, while they have catapulted themselves in to the spotlight of the dance and music industries. It seems that the sky is the limit for the blossoming careers of the members of Rufus Du Sol, as their popularity and fan base continue to rapidly grow larger by the day.
