Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike Talent Bio:
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are a Flemish DJ duo from Belgium, born in 1982 and 1985,respectively. The duo consists of siblings Dimitri Thivaios and Michael Thivaios. They both began to make their way into the DJ space at around 15 years old. They began by playing in small clubs and was the BeatFM radio DJ. In 1999, Dimitri Vegas left Flanders and began travelling throughout Europe. He lived in Mallorca and Greece before moving to Ibiza in 2003. In Ibiza he was the resident DJ in distinguished clubs such as Privilege and Space. In 2006, he moved back to Greece, where he became the resident DJ for Amnesia and The End; two clubs in Zante, Greece. Later that same year, Dimitri returned to Belgium to work with Like Mike. In 2008, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike were chosen by DJ Axwell to remix “Rotterdam City of Love” by Abel Ramos for the label Axtone. They released another single in 2012, “Momentum”, a collaboration done with Regi. 2013 saw the release of their singles “Madness”, “Wakanda”, “Mammoth”, and “Project T”, among others. And in 2013, they released “Nova” and “Tremor”, both of which broke the top five in the Belgian music charts. Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike were first chosen to host Tommorrowland in 2012, where they collaborated with Dada Life and Tara McDonald to produce the anthem “Tomorrow (Give in to the Night)”. In 2011, they were again chosen to help produce the anthem for Tomorrowland, this time collaborating with Afrojack and Nervo to make “The Way Way We See the World”. In 2012, the anthem produced for Tomorrowland was “Tomorrow Changed Today”; made by Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, WAV.s, and Kelis. For the 2013 and 2014 editions of Tomorrowland, they produced the songs “CHATTAHOOCHEE” and “Waves”.
