Born November 7th 1978 in Flower Mound, Texas, Eric Estornel better known by his stage name Maceo Plex is an electronic music producer and DJ who is also known by the alias Maetrik. He is currently signed to Ellum Audio, and exhibits a very diverse production style while specializing in the musical genres of techno, deep house, progressive house, tech house, and house. He has become a staple in the electronic music circuit, as he frequents many large venues and Ibiza based clubs such as Amnesia and Space. He has cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 650 thousand likes on his Facebook page, over 115 thousand followers to his Twitter feed, over 280 thousand listeners on his SoundCloud account, over 120 thousand followers on his Instagram, and his videos have been viewed millions of times online, including the video of his “Boiler Room Berlin DJ Set” which has individually racked up over 3.9 million views on YouTube. In January of 2016 it was announced that he was one of the acts chosen to perform at the very popular and massive music festival Coachella 2016 in Southern California.Since breaking out on to the music scene in 2001, Estornel has released 3 full length studio album under the name Maetrik, as well as 2 under the name Maceo Plex. He has released an extensive amount of extended plays, singles, and remixes, which has given him an extraordinarily large catalogue of music for his fans to appreciate. He has become a force to be reckoned with in the electronic music industry, as his popularity and fan base continue to grow exponentially larger by the day.
