Originally formed in 1985 in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, Radiohead is a five-piece alternative rock band that is currently signed to XL Recordings. The band consists of members Thom York (lead vocals, various instruments), Phil Selway (drums), Jonny Greenwood (guitar), Colin Greenwood (bass), and Ed O’Brien (guitar). They specialize in a variety of musical genres such as alternative rock, art rock, electronica, and experimental rock, while they have sold over 30 million records worldwide. They have cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers over the years, including over 11 million likes on their Facebook page, over 1.8 million followers on their Twitter account, and their music videos have been viewed millions of times online, including the video for the hit song “Creep”, which has racked up over 185 million views on YouTube. In January of 2017 it was announced that they will be one of the acts headlining at the very popular and massive music festival Coachella 2017 in Southern California.Radiohead first broke out onto the music after the release of their debut album “Pablo Honey” in 1993. The album featured track “Creep”, which became a worldwide success and catapulted the band into the musical spotlight. They have since become one of the most well-known groups throughout the music industry, while they steadily continue to release new cutting edge material. They have released a total of 9 full length albums, which are adored by their millions of fans and music critics alike. Radiohead has received many awards and recognitions for their work, as they continue to perform their one of a kind sets for fans all over the planet.
