Originally formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 2000, Mastodon is an American heavy metal band that is currently signed to Relapse Records. The band consists of members Brann Dailor, Brent Hinds, Bill Kelliher, and Troy Sanders, who specialize in the musical genres of heavy metal, prog metal, sludge metal, alternative metal, and many more. Mastodon has cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 1 million likes on their Facebook page, over 500 thousand followers on their Twitter feed, and over 200 thousand followers on their Instagram account. The band’s music videos have been viewed millions of times online, such as the video for the hit song “Oblivion” which has individually racked up over 7 million views on YouTube. Mastodon is currently performing on a worldwide tour, bringing their one of a kind live show to eager music goers all over the planet.Since first breaking out on to the music scene in 2000, Mastodon has released a total of 7 full length studio albums and 2 extended plays which are adored by their fans and music critics alike.
