Chvrches Talent Bio:
Formed in 2011 in Glasgow, Scotland, Chvrches is a three piece Scottish electronic band. The group consists of Lauren Mayberry (Vocals, synthesizer, sampler), Iain Cook (Synthesizer, bass, guitar, vocals), and Martin Doherty (synthesizer, vocals, sampler). They have a very unique sound while they specialize in multiple genres of electronic music such as synthpop and indietronica. They have cultivated a large group of loyal fans and followers including over 660 thousand like on their Facebook page, over 200 thousand followers on their Twitter feed, over 130 thousand followers on their Instagram, over 50 thousand subscribers to their YouTube channel, and their music videos have been viewed millions of times online, including the video for the song “The Mother We Share” which has individually racked up over 13 million views on YouTube. In January of 2016 it was announced that they will be one of the acts performing at the very popular and massive music festival Coachella 2016 in Southern California.Since Chvrches first came onto the music scene in 2011 they have released a total of 2 full length studio albums, which both had very much success amongst fans and critics alike. Their latest album titled “Every Open Eye” released in 2015 reached #1 on the US Top Alternative, Us Top Rock, and Sottish Album Charts, #3 on the Australian Album Chart, and #4 on the Irish and UK Album Charts. They have been nominated for and won a variety of music awards including a Popjustice “Twenty Quid Music Prize” for best British pop single of the year for the song “The Mother We Share” in 2013. They are continuing to rise to the forefront of the music industry, as their popularity and fan base rapidly grow larger by the day. It seems that the sky is the limit for the blossoming career of Chvrches.
