Formed in 2007 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Miami Horror is an Indietronica band. The band consists of Benjamin Plant (synthesizers, bass, production), Aaron Shanahan (vocals, guitar, synthesizer, production), Josh Moriarty (vocals, guitar), Kosta Theodosis (drums), and Daniel Whitechurch (piano, synthesizer).They have a very unique sound while they specialize in a variety of musical genres such as synthpop, nu-disco, new wave, and house. They have cultivated a large group of loyal fans and followers including over 197 thousand likes on their Facebook page, over 23 thousand followers on their Twitter feed, over 50 thousand followers on their SoundCloud account, and their music videos have been viewed millions of times online, including the YouTube video of their full album “All Possible Features” which has racked up over 490 thousand views on YouTube. In January of 2016 it was announced that they will be one of the acts to perform at the very massive and popular music festival Coachella 2016 in Southern California.Since first coming on to the music scene in 2007, Miami Horror has released 2 full length studio albums, one extended play, and 9 singles, which have been appreciated amongst fans and critics alike. Their debut album “Illumination” was released in 2010, while their second and most recent album “All Possible Features” was released in 2015, bolstering their popularity and fan base to a whole new level. They are a group to watch out for in the very near future, as they are catapulting their careers into the forefront of the electronic music spotlight.
