Sigma Talent Bio:
Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie are members of the British band Sigma. Sigma was founded in 2006 by the two artists who specialize in drum and bass. Edwards and Lenzie met at Leeds University and at the time Edwards worked at a record store, and Lenzie was deejaying and opening at Event Horizon for artists like Rahzel and Grandmaster Flash. The two relocated to London with a friend, Ben Mauerhoff, who became the bands third member at the time when the band was signed with Breakbeat Kaos. The three didn’t last long and Mauerhoff eventually left the band due to issues with distant, so Sigma remained a duo. Lenzie and Edwards created Life Recording, their own record label, and released a mix of a previous single, “El Presidente”. Sigma did music for other labels as well in 2009 and 2010, including work for Hospital Records and the song “Paint It Black” for a compilation album titled “Sick Music”. Around the same time they released a second single with their label called “Nexus” / “Front to Back”. In 2010 Sigma released the single “Lassitude” with DJ Fresh featuring Koko which became one of their first singles to reach the UK Singles Chart at number ninety-eight and number eleven on the UK Dance Chart. They began touring internationally in 2012 and traveled to four different countries. During their tour they also appeared as a supporting act for old friend Rusko on his tour in the U.K. Sigma signed to 3Beat Records in 2013 and put out several singles with that label including “Summer Calling” featuring Taylor Fowlis and “Rudeboy” featuring Doctor, “Nobody to Love”, and “Divine”. All songs made it to the top of the UK Singles chart and the UK Dance Chart in 2014. The band has worked with other artists like Ellie Goulding, Eric Prydz, Groove Armada, Skepta, and Sway. They have confirmed other future collaborations as well. Sigma is currently involved with All Around the World Records, 3Beat Records, Hospital Records, Breakbeat Kaos, and their own label, Life Recordings. They have four hit singles, two of which have made it to number one on the UK Singles Chart and the UK Dance Chart, and several gold and platinum awards.
