Born April 5th 1996 in Castel, Guernsey, Alexander Crossan better known by his stage name Mura Masa is a British music producer, musician, and songwriter that is currently signed to Interscope Records. He showcases his emphatic DJ skills while specializing in the musical genres of trap, electronica, R&B, hip hop, and many more. Mura Masa has cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers, including over 250 thousand followers on his SoundCloud account, and over 100 thousand likes on his Facebook page. His music videos have been viewed millions of times online, such as his video for the hit song “Love$ick ft. A$AP Rocky” which has individually racked up over 20 million views on YouTube. In January of 2017 it was announced that Mura Masa was one of the acts chosen to perform at the very popular and massive music festival Coachella 2017 in Southern California.Since first breaking out on to the music scene in 2014, Mura Masa has released a total of 1 studio album, 1 extended play, and 1 mixtape, which are adored by his fans and music critics alike. He has worked with and performed alongside some of the most reputable artists in the industry, such as A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, Foals, NAO, Childish Gambino, Shura, and many more.
