State Champs Talent Bio:
Originally formed in Albany, New York in 2009, State Champs is an American pop punk band that is currently signed to Pure Noise Records. The band consists of members Derek Discanio (vocals), Tyler Szalkowski (lead guitar), Ryan Scott (bass, backing vocals), Tony “Rival” Diaz (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), and Evan Abrosio (drums, percussion) who together create a one of a kind musical sound. State Champs has cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 200 thousand likes on their Facebook page, over 175 thousand likes on their Instagram account, and over 150 thousand followers on their Twitter feed. The band’s music videos have been viewed millions of times online such as their video for the hit song “Secrets” which has individually racked up over 3 million views on YouTube. State Champs is currently taking their live show to eager music fans across the country, as they tour the United States in support of their latest album.Since first breaking out on to the music scene in 2010, State Champs has released a total of 3 full length studio albums which are adored by their fans and music critics alike. The band’s latest album titled “Living Proof” became an instant hit as it reached #2 on the US Indie Albums Chart, #3 on the US Alternative Albums Chart, #4 on the US Rock Albums, and #28 on the US Billboard 200. It seems that the sky is the limit for the success of the New York native pop punk band on the rise, as their popularity and fan base rapidly grow exponentially larger by the day.
