Walk The Moon Talent Bio:

Walk The Moon is an indie pop/rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio. Nicholas Petricca is the lead singer, and he started the band in 2008. Nicholas went through many members of the band to find its current members. The members of the band are Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman, Eli Maiman, which were found and assembled by Nicholas in 2010. The band itself was named after the Police song, “Walking on the Moon.” The group self-released its first debut album, “I want, I want!” in November of 2010, which was recorded with Chris Schmidt and Ben Cochran at Soap Floats Recording Studio in the bands’ hometown. The band released an official music video for the song “Anna Sun” to go along with the disc release. The video was called a “hilariously choreographed, neon-colored and awesomely shot in one take” by MTV Hive, and it was also added to the video rotation in American Eagle Outfitters everywhere in May of 2011. They received instant airplay for “Anna Sun” on local radio stations. “Anna Sun” was named The Song of the Summer by Esquire magazine in the summer of 2011, in an article titled as “30 Summer Songs Every Man Should Listen To”. The song is named after their late college professor from Kenyon College and is meant to symbolize youth. It was officially been remixed by Fool’s Gold and Trouble Productions. Alt. Nation named them as a band you need to know for the summer of 2012.The band performed at various music festivals and concerts as well as doing a small tour with the band Grouplove and opening for bands like Weezer and Panic! At The Disco. In 2011, Walk the Moon began to paint their faces for performance and shared paint with the audience members too. In February of 2011, the band signed with Mick Management, and was signed to RCA Records with whom they released their first self-titled album in June of 2012. The band released the single “Shut Up + Dance” in fall of 2014 in advance to their new album, which was titled “Talking is Hard.” The album made it to number twenty-six on the Billboard 200 in its first week of release. Spin Magazine has described them as “a poppy rock quartet.” They were also deemed by Nylon Magazine a “Band Crush” for their “swirly pop beats, infectious guitar riffs and loud, sing-a-long choruses.” Click for Walk The Moon Event Booking.
