Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Valerie Teicher commonly known by her stage name Tei Shi is an Argentine indie pop singer, songwriter, and producer. She has a very unique style and is currently based in Brooklyn where she self-releases the majority of her material. Her debut extended play titled “Saudade” was described by Noisey as a “layered masterpiece of melodies, expertly entwined vocal loops, and shivery sonics”, and she has gained much notoriety and praise from listeners and critics everywhere. She has cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 30 thousand likes on her Facebook page, over 30 thousand followers on her SoundCloud account, over 10 thousand followers on her Twitter feed, and her music videos have been viewed millions of times online, including her video for the song “Bassically” which has individually racked up over 1.5 million views on YouTube. In January of 2016 it was announced that she was one of the acts chosen to perform at the very popular and massive music festival Coachella 2016 in Southern California.Since first breaking out on to the music scene in 2013, Tei Shi has released 2 extended plays and 6 singles. She has begun building up a good amount of steam in the industry as her soul-crushingly beautiful delivery and passionate vocal style captivates her listeners all over the country. She is becoming a force to be reckoned with, as her popularity and fan base continue to rapidly grow exponentially larger by the day. It seems that the sky is the limit for her blossoming career, as her fans anxiously await the release of her debut album.
