Originally formed in 2002 in Ramsey, New Jersey, The Lumineers is an American folk rock band that is currently signed to Dualtone Records. The band consists of members Wesley Keith Shultz (vocals, guitar, piano), Jeremiah Caleb Fraites (drums, percussion, vocals, piano, mandolin, glockenspiel), and Neyla Pekarek (bass, cello, percussion, vocals), who come together to create a one of a kind musical style. They specialize in the musical genres of folk, indie folk, folk rock, and Americana, while they frequently tour the country performing their sets for music goers everywhere. The Lumineers have cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers over the years including over 2 million likes on their Facebook page, over 400 thousand followers on their Twitter account, over 400 thousand subscribers to their YouTube channel, over 200 thousand followers on their Instagram account, and their music videos have been viewed millions of times online, such as their video for the hit song “Ho Hey” which has individually racked up over 150 million views on YouTube.Since first breaking out on to the music scene in 2002, The Lumineers have released 2 full length studio albums which have had very much success amongst their fans and music critics alike. Their debut self-titled album reached #1 on the US Alternative, US Rock, US Independent, and US Folk Album Charts, #2 on the US Billboard 200, #3 on the Irish Album Chart, #6 on the Netherlands Album Chart, and reached the Top 25 in 7 other countries. It seems that the sky is the limit for their success, as their popularity and fan base continue to rapidly grow larger by the day.
