Echosmith Talent Bio:
Echosmith is an American indie-pop band from Los Angeles that was formed in 2009 . The group consists of four siblings, Graham, Sydney, Noah and Jamie Sierota. The four members grew up together in a musical household, playing various instruments throughout their childhood. The bands influence was said to be from a range of rock artists and bands such as Coldplay, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Smiths, U2, Joy Division and Fleetwood mac. It has been said by the band that these listed artists encouraged them to join forces and create something similar. Sydney (the only female) is the lead vocalist of the band who also contributes musically on the tambourine and keyboard. Noah is the bassist and sings backup vocals and the oldest member Jamie, plays guitar. The band has released an array of covers under the management of Jeffrey David and the Knoller Group such as songs by Adele, Mumford and Sons, Ellie Goulding and Rihanna . Echosmith being signed to Warner Bros. Records in 2012, released their first single as “Tonight We’re Making History” which was released that same year in June of 2012 and then was featured in the NBC promo for the 2012 Summer Olympics. With such post success they released their best known single, “Cool Kids” which took number 13 in Billboards List of 100. The song certified platinum by the RIAA, which made 1,200,000 in sales thereafter in the United States. A full album release followed shortly after in 2013 by the name of “Talking Dreams”. In April of 2013 Echosmith made the popular listing of “100 Bands You Need to Know” by the American Music Magazine-Alternative Press of alternative media. With such rapid success the band got to tour with the entire Vans Warped Tour of 2013 which happened again in 2014. More recently they took the opening act for several well known bands such as Owl City, Twenty One Pilots and Neon Trees.
