Mark Ronson Talent Bio:
Mark Ronson, an english musician, DJ, singer, and a three-time Grammy Award winning producer. He produced multi-platform albums for Adele and the late Amy Winehouse. He won Grammy Awards for Record of the Year for Amy Winehouse “Rehab” and Best Pop Vocal Album for her song “Back to Black”. His smash hit “Uptown Funk” featuring Bruno Mars, has made it to the number one single in the UK and US.Ronson was born in London, England, but attended high school and college in New York City. You could find him at all the hip hop spots in the New York club scene where he made his claim as a DJ in 1993. He was a rookie but he became well known for his diversity and wide range of genres. Influenced by hip hop, rock, and funk he attracted a wide audience. Ronson became on of the most respected DJs getting booked at all the hot celebrities’ private parties. Moving forward to producing, artist Nikka Costa’s manager heard some of his work. Mark produced Nikka’s song “Everybody Got Their Something” and soon after Ronson signed a deal with Elektra Records.
His first album Here Comes the Fuzz released in 2003 was critically acclaimed, but the sales weren’t what he expected. His song “Ooh Wee” was featured in the film Honey and on the soundtrack. In 2004 Ronson formed his own label called Allido Records a subsidiary of Sony BMG’s J Records. Ronson released his second album Version in 2007 hitting No. 2 in the UK Album Chart. It was awarded Album of the month by Mixmag. He made the cover of Guide magazine alongside Lily Allen. In 2007 he received a Grammy nomination for Producer of the year. In 2008 Ronson received 3 Grammy awards for Producer of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Record of the year that he shared with Amy Winehouse for her song Rehab.
Releasing a 3rd album called Record Collection in 2010, which reached No. 2 in the UK. The single “Bang Bang Bang” featuring rapper Q-Tip and singer MNDR was released in 2010 and it made No. 6 on UK charts. In 2014 Ronson released “Uptown Funk” featuring the vocals of the talented Bruno Mars which he performed on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest. Click for Mark Ronson Event Booking.
