M83 Talent Bio:
Formed 2001 in Antibes, Alpes-Maritimes, France M83 is a French electronic music band that is currently signed to Mute Records (a division of BMG Rights Management). The band has cycled through a few members, but now consists of Anthony Gonzales, Jordan Lawlor, Morgan Kibby, Loic Maurin, and Ian Young. They have cultivated a very large group of loyal fans and followers including over 1.3 million likes on their Facebook page, over 100 thousand followers on their Twitter feed, over 250 thousand subscribers on their YouTube channel, over 530 thousand followers on their SoundCloud page, and their music videos have been viewed millions of times online, including the video for the hit track “Midnight City” which has been individually viewed over 73 million times on YouTube. They have become a household name in the electronic music community, and in January of 2016 they were selected to perform at the massively popular music Festival Coachella 2016.Since first coming on to the music scene M83 has released a total of 6 full length studio albums as well as 2 soundtrack albums. Their latest album which was released in 2001 “Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming” saw much success as it reached #15 on the US Album Chart, #18 on the Norway Album Chart, #30 on the Belgium Album Chart, #37 on the Australia and Canada Music Charts, and #38 on the France Album Chart. The single “Midnight City” became a huge hit as it went platinum while reaching #5 on the US Alternative Singles Chart, #7 on the US Alternative Rock Singles Chart, #8 on the France singles Chart, and #18 on the Belgium Singles Chart. They have become a force to be reckoned with in the industry as their popularity and fan base continue to grow larger by the day. M83 is a group to watch out for in the very near future, as they have catapulted themselves into the spotlight of the music industry.
