Faithless Talent Bio:
Faithless is a British electronica band founded in 1995 made up of Sister Bliss, Maxi Jazz, and Rollo. They have released 6 albums in their 20 year existence, which cover multiple genres of music including house, electronica, trip hop, trance, and downtempo. They have sold over 15 million records worldwide, and are best known for their hit singles dance songs “God is a DJ”, “Salva Mea”, and “We Come 1”. Faithless has acted as role models and trendsetters for the generation of electronic dance music that we live in today. They announced that they were hanging up their hats and retiring in 2011, but they have recently reunited for the 20th anniversary of the band.In 1995, Faithless released their first three hit singles entitled “Salva Mea”, “Insomnia”, and “Reverence”. Their debut album was released in late 1996, and sold over 1.5 million copies. Sister Bliss masterminded most of the music electronically, while also playing the piano, bass, saxophone, and violin. Rollo acted as the producer of the band, while Maxi Jazz acted as a vocalist. The band has also featured other popular vocalists such as Jamie Catto, Dido, and Pauline Taylor.
Faithless has released six albums that made noise on the charts including ‘Reverance’ (#26), ‘Sunday 8PM’ (#10), ‘Outrospective’(#4) and ‘No Roots’ which reached #1. Each of the first four albums have been followed up with a post release bonus disc of remixes, to remain true to their dance roots. As a sign of respect and admiration of their 20 year anniversary reunion, their tracks have been remixed by some the most recognizable DJs of today, including Armin Van Buuren, Avicii, Flux Pavilion, Purple Disco Machine, Tiesto, Until the Ribbon Breaks, High Contrast, and many more, which have been compiled onto an album to be released in 2015 called ‘Faithless 2.0’.
