Lush Talent Bio:
Formed in 1987 in London, England, Lush is an English alternative rock band. They made a humungous splash is the rock industry in the 1990’s before disbanding in 1998, and have recently reunited in 2015, leaving their fans ecstatic as they gear up for their 2016 reunion tour. The band is currently made up of Miki Berenyi (vocals, guitar), Emma Anderson (vocals, guitar), Justin Welch (drums), and Phil King (bass). They specialize in a variety of musical genres such as Britpop, alternative rock, noise pop, dream pop, and were one of the first band to be referred to as “shoegazing” music. They have cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 37 thousand likes on their Facebook page, and their music videos have been viewed millions of times online, including the video for their hit single “De Luxe” which has individually racked up over 500 thousand views on YouTube. In January of 2016 it was announced that they were one of the acts selected to perform at the very popular and massive music festival Coachella 2016 in Southern California.Since first breaking out on to the rock scene in 1989, Lush has released 4 studio albums, a collection of compilation albums, and a large catalogue of singles. Their music has been very well received amongst fans and critics alike, as the anticipation for their reunion tour continues build. They have had singles appear all over multiple charts, gaining them respect and recognition throughout the industry. The future should be an exciting experience for them and their listeners, as their popularity and fan base still continue to rapidly grow larger by the day. They are a band to watch out for, and it seems that the sky is the limit for the ever growing success of Lush.
