Daya Talent Bio:
Born October 24th 1998 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Grace Tandon better known by her stage name Daya is an American singer and songwriter who is currently signed to ArtBeatz and Z-Entertainment. She has seen much success very early in her young career, as her hit single “Hide Away” has been individually viewed over 2 million times on YouTube, and has been streamed over 30 million times on Spotify. She specializes in the genres of pop, indie pop, dance-pop, and R&B, making her a diverse and one of a kind artist. In 2015 she released her debut EP which has gained much attention from audiences and music fans everywhere, as it reached #20 on the US heat chart. The single “Hide Away” has skyrocketed her popularity, as it reached #14 on the Top 40 chart and #41 on the Hot 100 chart. Her career is off to a very promising beginning, as she is quickly blossoming into a household name in the industry.Daya grew up in Pittsburgh where she began playing piano at the age of three, and transitioned to jazz piano at the age of 11, while also showcasing her talents on the guitar, saxophone, flute, and ukulele. She enrolled in the Accelerando Music Conservatory where she met Gino Barletta, who took an interest in her talent before eventually bringing her and her family to Los Angeles to pursue her solo career in February of 2015. She soon found much success after the release of her first single, which was followed by television performances and very many promotional opportunities bolstering her popularity and recognition in the process. Her fan base is continually growing by the day as she is on a fast track to taking over the pop scene, and is definitely an artist to watch out for in the very near future.
