MAGIC! Talent Bio:
MAGIC! Is a reggae like band with fusion undertones that is originally from Canada. All members of the band are from the Toronto area. The band consists of Nasri which is lead vocalist, Mark Pellizer, Alex Tanas and Ben Spivak. With their smash hit/debut single, “Rude” which was released in 2013, the band has sprung to the limelight. Nasri, the lead singer, also a noted producer, has written songs for big pop acts, prior to the success of the band. Nasri has mainly written and composed these acts along side Adam Messinger (Messy) who is a Grammy winning Canadian songwriter and producer currently living in Los Angeles, California. Other than his solo work, Adam and Nasri created the duo team known as “The Messengers” that write and produce for many artists such as Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera and Pitbull amongst many others. With “The Messengers” being a side project for Nasri, MAGIC! was formed after he met Mark Pellizer during a studio session and within a week they wrote the song “Don’t Judge Me” for Chris Brown. With Nasri and Pellizer teaming up the creative chemistry was really strong. Within a few weeks after collaborating the Chris Brown song, the duo decided to form a band that they described to be like a modern day “Police”. Soon after the band toured with Matisyahu as a support/opening act, MAGIC! was signed to Sony Music International. After figuring out the groundwork for MAGIC! the duo released their debut International hit, “Rude” with Sony’s support, which grabbed the attention of millions across the country in October of 2013. Nasri and Mark decided to call the band “MAGIC!” because writing “Rude” came so naturally to them, they felt it happened like magic. The single peaked at number six on the Canadian Hot 100 list. With such international recognition the bands hit “Rude” went viral across the globe, topping the charts in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia, their following is eager to see what is next in store for the group.
