The duo consists of members Evan Rachel Wood (vocals) and Zach Villa (bass, drums, guitar), who come together and create a one of a kind musical sound. Rebel and a Basketcase has quickly cultivated a following of very loyal fans and followers, as they perform their unique musical set on stages and popular television shows across the country. Their combination of alternative pop with 80’s-esque pop and rock is an intriguing and unique blend, as it creates a fresh new sound while staying true to their musical roots. Rebel and a Basket is influenced by a variety of musical styles, as their list of influences includes artists such as David Bowie, Radiohead, Garbage, Janis Joplin, Phantogram, The Cure, Alanis Morissette, The Eurythmics, The xx, M83 and very many more.Since first breaking out on to the music scene in 2017, Rebel and a Basketcase has released a handful of singles, while their fans eagerly await their much-anticipated debut album. Both Wood and Villa have had prior success in the acting world, and the decision to start the band came after working together on a John Hughes Cabaret re-enactment of The Breakfast Club. While the two were engaged in early 2017, they have set their sight on taking the entertainment world by storm. It seems that the sky is the limit for the duo’s success, as their popularity and fan base continue to rapidly grow exponentially larger by the day.
