Moniece Slaughter Talent Bio:
Born on March 4th 1987 in Los Angeles, California, Moniece Slaughter is an American singer/songwriter and reality television star. She is best known for her appearances on the first two seasons of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood, which she co-stars on with her ex-boyfriend and father of her child Lil Fizz, and also her ex-fiancé Rich Dollaz. The reality show features a large and recognizable cast which also includes Ray J, Omarion, Teairre Mari, Apryl Jones, Hazel E, and Soulja Boy. She has also had some success in the music industry as she has written songs for Akon and Marques Houston, and also sang the theme song for the hit reality fashion competition show America’s Next Top Model.Moniece was born in Los Angeles and raised in Woodland Hills where she attended El Camino Real High School. She was raised in a very musical family and was mentored by her stepfather Dave Thomas, who was a member of the Grammy Award winning group Take 6 in the 90’s. She began singing as part of the all-girl singing group Rhapsody, who was signed to a record deal with Clive Davis’s Jive Records. She has also hosted and performed at multiple events in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Slaughter faced a lot of controversy before the premiere of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood after the trailer for the show aired with her claiming that she dated former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal, as well as some hostile comments which may have rubbed viewers in a negative way. She is very straight to point and no nonsense personality, and exercises those traits to the fullest and is viewed somewhat as the villain on the show. She is a personality to look out for as the second season of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood is slated to air in late 2015.
