Cynthia Bailey is an American Supermodel and reality TV star on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She has a modeling and fashion school called The Bailey Agency School of Fashion located in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been on the cover of Essence Magazine, walked the runway at Fashion Week in Paris and Milan, starred in a movie opposite of Sandra Bernhardt, and guest starred on The Cosby Show.

Born in Alabama, Cynthia was destined to be a supermodel. She won several local beauty pageants and homecoming Queen in high school. She later moved to New York City to pursue her modeling career. Once in New York City Wilhelmina models quickly signed her to a 5 year contract. Her first booking was the cover of Essence Magazine with it being the highest selling cover in history and was also the personal favorite of Essence’s chief editor Susan Taylor. From that point her career took off. She was featured again on Essence Magazine and the magazines flew of the shelves at all news stands. She then moved to Paris where you can catch her walking down the runways for Paris Fashion Week. Later she moved back to New York City and was the girl every one had to get to do their campaigns. She did campaigns for Maybelline and Oil of Olay. She was also featured in magazine editorials such as Elle, Vanity Fair, Vogue, and Glamour. Bailey’s face is well known from ads for stores Macys, Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, Talbots, Chicos, and Bregdorf Goodman.

Her fame hit sky high when she was chosen over Naomi Campbell for a co-starring role opposite of Sandra Bernhardt in a film called Without You I’m Nothing. She became good friends with the director Brett Ratner and stayed on call for his music videos and early movies. She has made several TV appearances on shows such as The Cosby Show, NY Undercover, Soultrain, and on BET as a guest model and host. She has also been featured in commercials for Macys, Levis, and Mercedes Benz. Her proudest moment in her modeling career was when she was photographed be Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair magazine featured with models Naomi Campbell, Tyra banks, and Beverly Johnson. Cynthia currently resides in Atlanta with her 13 year old daughter Noelle and her husband Peter who owns Bar One. She is still a high demand model.
