Felix Cartal Talent Bio:
Born April 9 1987 in Vancouver, Canada, Felix Cartal is a Canadian DJ, songwriter, and electronic dance music producer. He specializes in the genres of EDM, house, and electro house, and is signed to Dim Mak records. He has performed at some of the most illustrious clubs and festivals that the EDM world has to offer, as he is constantly touring throughout the United States and Europe. He has an enormous catalogue of music that has piled up over the years through studio albums, EPs, singles, remixes, collaborations, and extended plays. He is beloved by his many fans and followers including 280 thousand followers on SoundCloud and 200 thousand page likes on Facebook.Cartal began making music in the year 2000 at the age of 13, playing bass in a punk/hardcore band called Dysfuctional. The band released two albums and had cultivated a decent following by touring throughout Vancouver and other parts of Canada, before calling it quits in 2004. It was in 2006 when Felix began creating his own dance music while attending the University of British Columbia. He began releasing singles and generating buzz on the internet and was becoming a household name in the underground scene.
After releasing his first EP and LP he began furiously touring and playing at extremely large festivals including Electric Daisy Carnival, South by Southwest, Camp Bisco, and Winter Music Conference. He later released his 2 studio albums called Popular Music (2010) and Different Faces (2012) which were both very successful. He has collaborated with many respected artists in and outside the EDM world and was a trendsetter for bringing unexpected vocalists in to feature on electronic dance tracks. He has released almost 20 Eps over the years and has become a household name in the EDM game. His fans and followers are always waiting for the next Felix Cartal release, and with the frequency in which he produces they never have to wait very long.
