Originally formed in 2002 in Denver, Colorado, The Fray is an American rock band that is currently signed to Epic Records. They have been a force to be reckoned with in the industry for over a decade, as they specialize in the musical genres of rock, Christian rock, alternative rock, and pop rock. The band consists of members Isaac Slade (vocals, piano), Joe King (rhythm guitar, vocals), Ben Wysocki (drums, percussion), and Dave Welsh (lead guitar), who come together to create a unique, and interesting sound. Their single “How to Save a Life” brought them worldwide popularity in 2005, as it reached the top 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and the top 5 on the Ireland, Canada, Italy, UK, Sweden, Australia, and Spain album charts. They have cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 4 million likes on their Facebook page, over 400 thousand followers on their Twitter account, and their music videos have been viewed millions of times online, such as the video for “How to Save a Life” which has individually racked up over 95 million views on YouTube.Since first breaking out on to the music scene in 2002, The Fray has released a total of 4 full length studio albums, 3 live albums, 3 extended plays and a compilation album which are adored by their fans and music critics alike. They have been nominated for and won multiple awards for their work, such as 4 Grammy Award nominations, 3 Billboard Music Award wins on 4 nominations, a Planeta Award, and an APRA Award.
