Nick Jonas Talent Bio:
Nicholas Jerry Jonas is the second youngest of four brothers, born September 16th 1992, in Dallas, Texas. Both his mother and father were into music, his mother a singer and his father a songwriter/musician, so Nick grew up around music his whole life. He is best known as a member of the popular pop-rock band, the Jonas Brothers, but he had been a working artist/musician far before that. Nick Jonas was discovered at the young age of six, in a barber shop with his mother. At age seven, he began performing on Broadway, appearing in several plays such as “A Christmas Carol”, “Annie Get Your Gun”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Les Miserables”, and “The Sound of Music”. His first recorded demo (written with his father) was “Joy to the World (A Christmas Pray)”, which was released by INO Records to Christian Radio and became popular Record and Radio’s Christian Adult Contemporary Chart. In 2004, Columbia Records discovered his song and became jointly signed to INO Records and Columbia Records, but promises of a self-titled album were continuously postponed. The song “Please Be Mine” which was written and performed by him and his two older brothers caused Daylight/Columbia Records to sign the three brothers as a group act. The brothers signed with Hollywood Records in February 2007 after being dropped by Columbia Records, and began starring in Baby Bottle Pop commercials, where they sang the jingle. Nick released his second self-titled album with his brothers, called “Jonas Brothers”, in August 2007. The album reached number five on the Billboard 200 chart in the first week. Nick began starring in multiple different Disney Channel series and movies along-side his brothers, including Hannah Montana and Camp Rock, leading to their own spin off series on Disney Channel. February 2010 saw the release of Nick Jonas’ side project called Nick Jonas & the Administration with the debut album called “Who I Am” got positive reviews and was followed by an international tour. Nick has since played with his brothers as well as by himself in solo ventures. He has also had more Broadway performances and may more appearance on various television shows on various networks. He is currently signed with Island Records with his newest album released in late 2014. Nick Jonas also recently announced that he is also signed with Wilhelmina Models and activity working in that portion of his career.
