Born 1988 in Cheltenham Township, Pennsylvania, David Burd better known by his stage name Lil Dicky is an American rapper and comedian. He has cultivated a massive group of fans and followers through releasing multiple comedic rap videos online. He has over 480 thousand subscribers to his YouTube channel, over 145 thousand Instagram followers, over 185 thousand page likes on Facebook, and some of his videos have tallied tens of millions of views on YouTube. He has worked with and featured some very prominent and well respected rappers on his track, a list which includes Snoop Dogg, Fetty Wapp, and Rich Homie Quan. He has created a one of a kind rap persona, and his career has begun to take off in the blink of an eye as his popularity continues to grow on a daily basis.Lil Dicky spent most of his childhood in Cheltenham, PA in an upper middle class Jewish family where he attended Cheltenham High School before going to college at the University of Richmond. He then moved to San Francisco and landed an account management job at an advertising agency. He then was brought into the creative department after he comically turned his monthly progress report into rap video. He then began working on lyrics and video ideas for the next two years in preparation for their release.
Dicky released his debut mixtape entitled “So Hard” in 2013, featuring the song “Ex-Boyfriend” which immediately went viral by racking up over a million views in less than 24 hours. In 2015 he released his debut full length album entitled Professional rapper, as well as a music video for the track “$ave Dat Money” which has already been viewed 14 million times on YouTube. His career is off to an incredible start and Lil Dicky is definitely a talent to watch out for in the music industry, as well as the comedy world.
