Lee Brice Talent Bio:
Lee Brice is an American country music singer born on June 10th, 1979 and raised in Sumter, South Carolina. His real name is Kenneth Mobley Brice, Jr., but he adopted the stage name Lee Brice early in his career. Brice has a younger brother named Lewis who was a contestant on the first season of Country Music Television’s “Can You Duet”. He started playing the piano and the guitar as a young child, as well as writing his own songs and being a part of the church choir. In high school, he entered into three different talent contests, and won them all. Before he decided to go forward with his country music career seriously, he attended Clemson University on a football scholarship. Brice began his music career in 2007 as a song writer, working with other talent like Jason Aldean, Keith Gattis, and Cowboy Crush. He was also a co-writer for a Garth Brook’s single “More Than a Memory” that ended up being very popular. It was the first single to ever debut at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The same year his first single “She Ain’t Right” peaked at number twenty-nine on the country chart, which he released after signing with Curb Records. Brice followed with two more singles “Happy Endings” and “Upper Middle Class White Trash” which landed at number thirty-two and forty-four on the chart. These songs were all part of an album, “Picture of Me”, which was never actually released. In 2009 he released his fourth single “Love Like Crazy”, written by Tim James and Doug Johnson, the song peaked at number three after fifty-six weeks on the Top 10 country music chart. In 2010 the song broke the record for the longest-charting song in the chart’s history. Brice’s second single, “Beautiful Every Time”, only made it to number thirty. In April 2012 his sixth single, “A Woman Like You”, became his first single to climb to number one on the country charts off his second album, “Hard 2 Love”. His next two singles “I Drive Your Truck” and “Parking Lot Party” reached number one and number six on the Country Airplay chart in 2013.
