5 Seconds of Summer Talent Bio:
5 Seconds of Summer also known as 5SOS a Australian pop punk and rock band, including the talents of Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin. Their debut single “She Looks So Perfect” topped the charts in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. Their self-titled debut studio album reached #1 in 11 countries in 2014.They reached International fame when they joined One direction on their Take Me Home Tour.Originally YouTube stars, performing covers from various artists in the year of 2011. The boys all attended Northwest Christian College when they began the group. They made a name for themselves and gained a following in 2012 doing covers of the most popular songs. 5SOS reached over 600,000 hits when they performed a cover if Singer Chris Brown’s “Next to You”. The group was completed when they added drummer Ashton Irwin. The band gained interest from various labels and landed a publishing deal with Sony ATV Music publishing. They released their first EP Unplugged which made No. 3 on the iTunes charts in Australia and the Top 20 in Sweden and New Zealand.
5 Seconds of Summer released their first single “Out of My Limit” in 2012. The song received over 100,000 views within the first day. In 2013 5SOS joined fellow band One Direction on their worldwide Take Me Home Tour and the band became well known and gained popularity. Later that year they signed to Capitol Records. In 2014 they became the fourth Australian band to have a UK number one single in 14 years. The group went on tour again with One Direction for the Where We Are Tour in the US, UK, Canada, and Europe. Their song She Looks So Perfect EP peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200. They release their second single “Don’t Stop” which debuted at No. 2 on the UK singles chart.
