Young Thug Talent Bio:
Born Jeffrey Williams, from Atlanta Georgia, Young thug is an American hip hop artist. Young Thug is known for his single, “Stoner”, and his collaborations with Birdman, Gucci Mane, Young Scooter, Rich Homie Quan, Waka Flocka, Migos, Travi$ Scott and T.I. Being born into a tough world, young thug was born against the masses, eliminating any doubt that he wouldn’t be special. The second youngest child, out of 11 children, he developed the ability to stand out amongst many at an early age. He moved to Jonesboro, an improvished suburb of Georgia where his lifestyle was engrossed by crime, drug addiction and violence. It was there that he developed reason to succeed in whatever he did. After discovering his talent and creativity for music, Young Thug started on his hustle that would soon mature as one of the most promising music careers in the South. After catching the attention of Gucci Mane with his first three instalments of his Mixtape series “Came from Nothing” Young Thug signed a record deal with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Brick Squad Records and Asylum/Atlantic in early 2013. Young Thug subsequently released his first project with the label, his fourth mixtape, “1017 Thug”. Critics positively responded to the mixtape, recognizing its original style. “1017 Thug” was included in a number of year-end lists for 2013, such as Pitchforks Albums of the Year: Honorable Mention and Complex’s The 50 best Albums of 2013. Fact called it the best mixtape of 2013, Rolling Stone placed it at number five on their 10 Best Mixtapes of 2013 and The Guardian placed it among The Five Best Mixtapes of 2013. That same year Complex included him in their list of 25 Rappers to Watch Out For. He gained major recognition in 2014, after being featured on a string of singles, including “About the Money” and “Lifestyle”, the latter of which peaked at number 16 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Having recorded with A list artists like Kanye West, who praised him for his ability to make songs so fast, Young Thugs spot in the lime light happened, fast. The December of 2014 print of Rolling Stone Magazine called Young Thug the “most exciting new voice of hip-hop” and “hip-hops new crown prince”.
