Yandy Smith is a producer, artist manager, and a reality TV star on VH1’s hit reality series Love and Hip Hop New York. She was born and raised in Harlem, New York. She has been in the entertainment industry for years; being involved in multiple projects in music, TV, and film. She is named as one of Billboard Magazine’s Top 30 Executives under 30. She has worked alongside music icons such as Missy Elliot, LL Cool J, and Buster Rhymes. She has even worked alongside Mona Scott, who is the executive producer of Love and Hip Hop.

Smith gained her spotlight when she began managing Dip Set rapper Jim Jones. She left the multi-media Conglomerate Violator Management to focus on his rising career. She later became a consultant at Warner Music Group/Atlantic Records and was in charge of closing a joint venture deal between Jim Jones and Columbia Records. Her fiancée is Mendeeces Harris, who is also a cast member of Love and Hip Hop New York. They have two kids together plus Mendeeces’ son from a previous relationship.

In 2008 Yandy received worldwide recognition when Billboard Magazine labeled her as one of the Top 30 Executives under 30. She then joined Monami Entertainment with Mona Scott-Young. She now is a star on VH1’s #1 hit show as well as being a part of the creative team that brought the show to the masses. Besides being on the show, Yandy is a successful entrepreneur. She is the owner of a digital magazine called Everything Girls Love and she also has a jewelry and clothing line. She is also the Executive producer of an independent film called Life, Love, Soul, that has appeared in theatres.
