Underworld Talent Bio:
Formed 1980 in Romford, Greater London, England, Underworld is a British electronic music group. They specializes in a variety of musical genres including techno, progressive trance, progressive house, breakbeat, synthpop, alternative dance, and electronic dance music. They have been signed to many different record labels such as Om Records, Cooking Vinyl, V2, Wax Trax!, Sire, Junior Boy’s Own, and Warner Brothers. They have cycled through a handful of band members, and their current lineup consists of Karl Hyde, Rick Smith, and Darren Price. Over the years they have cultivated a very large group of loyal fans and followers including over 350 thousand likes on their Facebook Page, and their music videos have been viewed millions of times online, including the video for the hit song “Born Slippy” which has racked up over 15 million individual views on YouTube. In January of 2016 they were selected as one of the acts performing at the very popular musical festival Coachella 2016.Since first coming on to the music scene Underworld has released a total of 8 albums, and have announced the release of their 9th which is due to be released in March of 2016. They have provided their fans with a vast catalogue of music to enjoy, and their popularity and fan base continue to grow larger by the day. Their last album called “Barking” which was released in 2010 had very much success as it reached #6 on the US Dance/Electronic Album Chart, #26 on the UK and the Belgium Albums Charts, #27 on the Dutch Albums Chart, #33 on the US Billboard Independent Albums Chart, and #36 on the Ireland Albums Chart. Underworld has thrust themselves into the spotlight of the electronic music community, as they have become a household name and a staple in the music industry.
