Tycho Talent Bio:
Originally formed in 2002 in Sacramento, California, Tycho is an American ambient music project that is currently signed to Ghostly International. They have a one of a kind musical delivery, while they specialize the genres of ambient, downtempo, chillwave, IDM, post-rock, and many more. Tycho is led by Scott Hansen (production, composition, guitar, bass, synth, programming, visuals), who is accompanied live by members Zac Brown (guitar, bass), Billy Kim (bass, keyboards, synth), and Rory O’Connor (drums). The group has cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers, including over half a million likes on their Facebook page, over 250 thousand followers on their SoundCloud account, and over 75 thousand followers on their Twitter feed. In January of 2017 it was announced that Tycho was one of the acts chosen to perform at the very popular and massive music festival Coachella 2017 in Southern California.Since first breaking out on to the music scene, Tycho has released 4 full length studio albums and 2 Eps which are adored by their fans and music critics alike. Their latest album titled “Epoch” was an instant hit as it reached #1 on the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart, #10 on the New Zealand Heatseekers Albums Chart, and #78 on the US Billboard 200. Their unique live performances bring a fresh artistic twist to music goers everywhere, as their ambient melodies and nostalgic sounds leave listeners on the edge of their seat. It seems that the sky is the limit for the group’s success, as their popularity and fan base continue to rapidly grow exponentially larger by the day. Tycho is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in the music industry, and is a group to keep an eye out for in the very near future.
