Travi$ Scott Talent Bio:
Born April 30 1992, Jacques Webster better known by his stage name Travis Scott, is an American rapper and record producer. He has paved his way into the music business and has worked alongside some of the most influential artists in the industry. He is signed to Very G.O.O.D Beats, the production wing of Kanye West’s GOOD MUSIC. He has said his biggest influences are Kanye West, T.I., Kid Kudi, Outkast, Bon Iver, Bjork, and many more.Scott was born in Houston, Texas and was raised in Missouri City, a suburban area not too far away. Scott began making music at the age of 16 and formed a duo with his friend Chris Holloway. In 2009 under the name The Graduates, they released their first EP on Myspace. He attended both The University of Texas San Antonio, and The University of Texas Austin. He formed another group called The Classmates with OG Chess. After the release of two of their projects, with Scott producing all of their tracks, they decided to split after financial arguments and personal differences. He then decided to drop out of college and move to Los Angeles to pursue music as a full time career.
After his move to Los Angeles he began releasing tracks he had produced, one of which called “Lights (Love Sick)” that was recognized by talented rapper and hip hop icon T.I.. Scott was introduced to Kanye West’s producer Anthony Kilhoffer, who took him under his wing. He then worked with Kanye and many other industry heavy hitters on multiple projects and has contributed in many areas, such as producing, directing music videos, and writing. In January of 2015, he announced his US wide tour alongside Metro Boomin and Young Thug which is promoting his album Rodeo for its September release. In March of 2015 he co-wrote and produced a song with superstar Rihanna entitled “Bitch Better Have My Money”. As a rising star in the industry, his fans are awaiting the release of his album and are extremely excited to see what he does next.
