Formed 2007 in Sheffield / The Wirral, England, The Last Shadow Puppets are an English rock super group that is currently signed to Domino Records. The band consists of Alex Turner (vocals, guitar, tambourine), Miles Kane (vocals, guitar), and James Ford (drums, percussion, production). All 3 members have had very successful careers prior to the creation of The Last Shadow Puppets, as Ale Turner also performs as a member of Arctic Monkeys, James Ford is a member of Simian Mobile Disco, and Miles Kane is a former member of The Rascals. They have cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 200 thousand likes on their Facebook page, and their music videos have racked up a big number of views online, including the video for the song “My Mistakes Were Made for You” which has individually pulled in over 930 thousand views on YouTube. They have been nominated and won various awards including NME nominations in 2009 for Best British Band and a nomination for best music video which they won. In January of 2016 it was announced that they were one of the acts selected to perform at the very popular music festival Coachella 2016.Since coming on to the music scene The Last Shadow Puppets have released 1 full length studio album and 4 singles. Their debut album titled “The Age of the Understatement” had very much success amongst fans and critics alike as it reached #1 on The UK Album Chart, #2 on the Ireland Album Chart, #4 on the Belgium Album Chart, #12 on the Netherlands Album Chart, and #23 on the Norway and Denmark Album Charts. They are a band to watch out for in the very near future, as their popularity and fan base continue to rapidly grow larger by the day. They have catapulted themselves into the spotlight of the industry, and it seems the sky is the limit for The Last Shadow Puppets.
