The Damned Talent Bio:
Formed in 1976 in London, England, The Damned is and English gothic punk band. The band has gone through a large catalogue of members, and currently is made up of Dave Vanian (vocals), Captain Sensible (guitar), Pinch (drums), Monty Oxymoron (keyboards), and Stu West (bass). They are pioneers in the industry as they were the first band from the UK to release a single, to release an album, and to tour in the United States. They have cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 150 thousand likes on their Facebook page, and their music videos have been viewed millions of times online, including the video for the song “Love Song” which has individually racked up over 2.5 million views on YouTube. In January of 2016 it was announced that they were one of the acts chosen to perform at the very popular and massive music festival Coachella 2016 in Southern California.Since first breaking out on to the music scene 40 years ago, The Damned have released a whopping total of 10 full length studio albums that are adored by die-hard fans and critics alike. They are one of the most influential groups in punk rock history, as they sit alongside industry greats The Clash and the Sex Pistols in the hearts and minds of listeners. They have performed and worked with some of the most recognizable and popular artists that the music world has to offer including Motorhead, The Clash, Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers, T. Rex, and very many more. The reunion of the band and the worldwide tours are a sight for fans to marvel at, as the anticipation has left listeners on the edge of their seats. The future seems very bright for The Damned, as they continue their career as a household name and a staple in the industry.
