Snootie Wild Talent Bio:

Snootie Wild was born LePreston Porter on April 23rd 1985 in North Memphis, Tennessee. He is an American hip hop recording artist, best known for his single “Yayo”. He original aspired to become a professional athlete, playing sports in high school, but a knee injury at the age of seventeen prevented him from pursuing that sort of career. Rap music became his next goal. He put out multiple mixtapes before the single “Yayo” got him much recognition in July 2013. The single got the attention of another Memphis based rapper, Yo Gotti, who later remixed the song. T.I. also got ahold of the song, and created his own remix of the original track. The track reached number fifty on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number forty on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop chart. In late 2013, Yo Gotti signed Wild to his Collective Music Group (CMG), and shortly after it was heard that Snootie Wild signed a contract with Epic Records. He continues to perform with Yo Gotti in his touring ventures, including a performance at B.B Kings in New York. The official remix of his popular song, “Yayo”, was released on May 13th 2014 and featured Fabolous, French Montana, Jadakiss, and Yo Gotti. CMG featured the remix on their first ever CMG collective compilation titled “Chapter One”, which featured tracks from all of the artist listed above. Snootie was credited for five tracks on the mixtape, but he appeared in six. In September 2014, Wild released his six-track debut EP “Go Mode”, including the singles “Yayo”, “Made Me”, and “No Kissing”, the latter featuring Zed Zilla. He will also appear as a reoccurring cast member on the fifth season of Love and Hip Hop. In 2014 Wild was a featured artist on two different tracks, “Money Bandit” by Tiny T and “Kitchen” by SMG. It’s hard to believe that rapping was once only just a hobby for the ambitious lyrical genius, he once stated in an interview with Revolt, “Rapping was like basketball or football, especially for a black kid in the hood, it’s just a hobby, something that’s already offered to you before anything else. So it became a hobby, a sport for fun.” Lucky for Snootie Wild his hobby became a profession from which his success is “wildly” apparent, and he has the mixtapes, singles, and music videos to prove it.
