Sigala Talent Bio:
Bruce Fielder is a tropical house DJ, producer, and mixer from London, England better known by his stage name Sigala. Best known for his single released in 2015 entitled “Easy Love” which incorporates a sample of The Jackson 5’s “ABC”, he has taken over the charts and reached #1 on the UK singles Chart, #4 in Ireland, #12 in the Netherlands, and #14 in Australia.Sigala began making music at the very young age of 8 when he began playing the piano. He graduated from Westminster University with a BA honors degree in commercial music. After graduating he bounced around joining various unsigned bands which didn’t amount to anything special, and then began mixing and producing music for other artist’s projects. His hit single was written when he was mixing a track for a popular musician, who requested him to remix it for the 37th time. He said his motivation to create the song came from a place of frustration and exhaustion, after drinking a six pack of tequila flavored beer and being asked to attempt another mix on the track. He downloaded an acapella version of the classic Jackson 5 hit, and began to work on “Easy Love”. He has also said that he wanted to create music for himself instead of “Somebody asking me to create a song that had a certain sound to it or had to be a certain way.”
A music video for the song was filmed in Los Angeles and directed by Craig Moore, featuring Lucky Aces, a Canadian dance duo made up of two twelve year olds. The video has racked up almost 4 million views on the internet and the numbers are continuing to climb. After a couple of days the video was picked up by Ministry of Sound, which is when it was first introduced to the UK Single Chart at #71. It reached #1 by the beginning of the next week.
