Savages Talent Bio:
Formed 2011 in London, England, Savages is an English post-punk revival band that is currently signed to Matador Records. The band consists of Jehnny Beth aka Camille Berthomier (vocals), Ayse Hassan (bass), Gemma Thompson (guitar), and Fay Milton (drums). They have cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 120 thousand like on their Facebook page, over 20 thousand followers on their Twitter account, over 15 thousand followers on their Instagram page, and their music videos have been viewed millions of views online, including the video for the song “Shut Up” which has racked up over 1.7 million views on YouTube. In January of 2016 it was announced that they would be one of the acts performing at the very popular music festival Coachella 2016.Since coming onto the music scene they have released 1 full length studio album with their second album due for release in January of 2016. Their first album “Silence Yourself” was very well received by fans and critics alike as it reached #19 on the UK Album Chart and #70 on the US Album Chart. They have also release 1 extended play and six singles, adding to their catalogue for their listeners to enjoy. In 2012 they were nominated for a BBC Sound of 2013 award, showing the appreciation of their unique creativity. The future is very bright for the career of Savages, as their popularity and fan base continue to rapidly grow larger by the day. They are a band to watch out for in the immediate future, as they have thrust themselves in to the spotlight of the post-punk revival scene. The release of Savages next album is very highly anticipated, as they are quickly becoming a household name within the music industry, and their exposure has catapulted to a brand new level.
