Ray J Talent Bio:

William Ray Norwood Jr. best known as Ray J, is a singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and reality TV star on VH1’s hit reality series Love and Hip Hop Hollywood. His sister is the famous an award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist singer Brandy Norwood and he is the first cousin of rapper Snoop Dogg. Ray was born in McComb, Mississippi and raised in Carson, California. In 1989 he began to act in commercials for various companies. He had a role in The Sinbad Show as a foster child. He was also featured in his sister’s hit TV series Moesha with the role as Dorian in 1999 on UPN.

In 1995 Ray J signed a deal with Elektra Records and released his debut album Eveything You Want. His single “Let it Go” appeared on the movie Set It Off soundtrack and it hit No. 25 in the United States as well as No. 11 in New Zealand. He was eventually dropped from the label and he began to produce music for different commercials and some for is sound record as demos. He later recorded a song called “Another Day in Paradise” with his sister Brandy. It made the Top Ten in the UK, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Norway, Ireland, and Austria. The song became the main single of the R&B/ Hip Hop tribute Urban Renewal. Ray has worked with several producers such as The Neptunes, Rodney Dark Child Jerkins, and Lil Kim. In 2001 he released his album This Ain’t A Game with his hit single “Wait A Minute” feat rapper Lil Kim. The song hit No. 30 on the U.S. Hot 100 and No. 8 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Two years later he released his third album called Raydiation through Sanctuary Records and his own label Knockout Entertainment. His first single “One Wish” reached the Top 20 in the U.S., UK, Ireland, and New Zealand. In 2005he joined the cast of One on One on UPN. He played the character of D-Mack. In 2007 his sex tape with former girlfriend Kim Kardashian was released through Vivid Entertainment. Later in 2008 he released his first single “Sexy Can I” featuring rapper Yung Berg, from his album All I Feel. In 2007 he starred in the movie Dark Christmas. Ray has also been featured on shows such as For the Love of Ray J, Brandy and Ray J: Family Business, and Bad Girl’s All Star Battle. Currently he is starring on VH1’s Love and Hip Hop Hollywood.
