Formed 2009 in Cambridge, England, Lonely the Brave is an English alternative rock band who is currently signed to Columbia Records. The band consists of David Jakes (vocals), Mark Trotter (guitar), Gavin Edgeley (drums), Ross Smithwick (guitar), and Andrew Bushen (bass). The band takes inspiration from many famed artists including Deftones, Bruce Springsteen, and Pearl Jam. They has cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 40 thousand likes on their Facebook page, over 10 thousand followers on their Twitter feed, and their music videos have been viewed hundreds of thousands of times online, including the video for the song “Backroads” which has pulled in over 500 thousand views on YouTube. Their fan base and popularity is continuing to grow at a very rapid rate, as their music catalogue and touring experience grows larger by the day.Lonely the Brave’s debut studio album “The Day’s War” was originally released in 2014, and was rereleased with additional tracks in 2015, and was very well received by their fans and critics everywhere. The same year they also released an extended play called “Call of Horses EP” which can be found on various online media outlets, and also launched a tour around the UK which lasted over 5 months. They are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in their respected genre, as they are laying down the groundwork for becoming a household name in the worldwide music community. They are a definite band on the rise and a group to look out for in the near future as they are on the path to coming to the forefront of the alternative rock industry.
