Born October 26th 1992 in Tysvaer, Norway, Peder Losnegard better known by his stage name Lido is a Norwegian hip hop artist, rapper, singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer that is currently signed to Pelican Fly. He specializes in various musical genres including electronica, hip hop, and trip hop, while he programs beats to accompany his vocals and drums. He has cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 60 thousand likes on his Facebook page, millions of listens on his tracks posted to SoundCloud, and his music videos have begun to rack up a substantial amount of views online, including the video for his song “Money” which has been viewed over 200 thousand times on YouTube. He has worked with some very talented and highly respected artists in the industry including Chance The Rapper, Cashmere Cat, Halsey, Towkio, Alt J, Bastille, Bill Withers, The Weeknd, Disclosure, Banks, and many more. In January of 2016 it was announced that he would be one of the acts performing at the very popular and massive music festival Coachella 2016.Since first coming on to the music scene in 2005, Lido has released 2 full length studio albums, 4 extended plays, 3 mixtapes, and a large catalogue of singles. They have had very much success amongst fans and critics alike, as his debut studio album titled “Pretty Girls & Grey Sweaters reached #6 on the Norway Album Chart, and his second studio album “Battle Poetry” reached #5 on the Norway Album Chart. He is an artist to watch out for in the very near future as his popularity and fan base continue to grow rapidly larger by the day. He has catapulted himself into the forefront of the music industry, and it seems the sky is the limit for the career of Lido.
