KSHMR Talent Bio:
Born October 6 1988 and hailing from Berkeley, California, Niles Hollowell-Dhar is an electronic dance musician and producer better known by his stage name KSHMR. Formally a member of the EDM duo The Cataracs, he left the group in 2014 to pursue his own solo career in the EDM world. He has definitely made a name for himself and gained many fans and followers in the process, tallying over 430 thousand page likes on Facebook and over 120 thousand SoundCloud followers. He taps into to many different genres of electronic music including EDM, Big Room House, Progressive House, and Electro House.KSHMR first operated as a man behind the mask, releasing tracks under his alias without putting a face to the music. His first single was released in 2014 under the title “Megaladon” through Spinnin’ Records. He has released quite a few singles while collaborating with some very well-known artists inside the EDM world. The release of “Karate”, a track on which he collaborated with R3hab, made its way onto the French Singles Chart in 2015. It was the release of the hit single “Burn” featuring DallasK that really catapulted KSHMR’s name to the next level, as it made a gigantic splash in the electronic dance scene making the #1 spot on Beatport’s Top 40 chart, a very popular EDM music platform. The song was released under Spinnin’ Records, as well as Revealed Records, and Ultra Records.
It was at the Ultra Music Festival 2015 where Niles revealed his identity as KSHMR and the release of a new track entitled “Secrets”, which he created with Tiesto and Vassey. The track also reached #1 on Beatport, and he now has a total of 8 tracks that have done so. He performed live as KSHMR for the first time in September of 2015, giving his fans and followers what they have been craving and asking for. His career has begun to furiously take off and it seems that the sky is the limit for KSHMR.
