John Dahlback Talent Bio:
Born October 13th 1985 in Stockholm, Sweden, John Dahlback is a Swedish house music producer and DJ who specializes in the genres of house, progressive house, tech house, and electro house. He is also known by other aliases, such as Kaliber, Hug, Huggotron, and Jetboy of Beckster. He has released hundreds of singles and remixes over the years, and his weekly radio show called Mutant Radio is broadcasted on more than 25 stations worldwide.Dahlback grew up in a very musically inclined family. His father was the drummer in a progressive rock band, his mother sang in a jazz band, and was also inspired by various aunts and uncles who played guitar, piano, and many other instruments. He was thrusted into the EDM world at a very young age, signing his first record deal when he was just 15. Just a few years later he had released a line of very highly respected productions, and began managing a very successful record label. After five years of successfully running his Pickadoll label, he created his own label called Mutants. Originally he used the label as an outlet to release some of his more experimental tracks, about a fifth of the releases now come from artists that Dahlback has signed himself.
Dahlback has released many tracks remixing or working with very talented and sought after artists. He has remixed songs by Skylar Gray, 50 Cent, David Morales including many more. He has had tracks released under very reputable labels and promoted through very respectable outlets including Spinnin’, Universal GAS, Ministry of Sound, One Love/Sony Austrailia, Versuz, and Defected just to name a few. He has also collaborated with his cousin Jesper Dahlback on many projects like “Hugg &Pepp” and “Pepp & Kaliber”.
