Heather Thomson is a philanthropist, designer, stylist, the creator of “Yummie by Heather Thomson” and, an American reality TV star on The Real Housewives of New York. She has been a successful designer and stylist for about 20 years. She has worked with stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Tina Knowles and Sean "Diddy" Combs. Thomson also the founding Design Director for Diddy’s line, Sean John and has received awards for her major force behind several CFDA award nominations.Heather is a mother of two, Jax, 9, and Ella Rae, 7. She got the idea for "Yummie” right after her children were born. Trying to shed the baby weight she gained from her pregnancy she needed something to smooth out her figure. She didn’t take a liking to any of the current shape wear that was on the market, so she decided to create something sexier, comfier, and "yummier." Her brand “Yummie” consists of her patented three-panel system that is now “Yummie's” signature. She has single handedly changed the shape wear game and her goal is to revolutionize the industry. Since she released the line with her original “Yummie” tank it had grown into multiple categories passing up shape wear. Her line now has denim, leggings, bras, and panties besides shape wear.
Heather is involved in plenty of philanthropic work aside her business. She supports many charities such as The Kellner Family Pediatric Liver Disease Foundation, City of Hope, and the Tick Borne Disease Alliance. Thomson has been recognized for all her work and has received a H.U.G. Award, given to her from the Intimate Apparel Square Club; she also received the American Liver Champion Award from the American Liver Foundation, as well as the City of Hope Spirit of Life Award.
