EDX Talent Bio:
Born November 2nd in Zurich, Switzerland Maurizio Colella better known by his DJ name EDX, is an Italian producer and DJ. He has made quite a name for himself in the EDM world, climbing the charts and performing in front of humungous crowds. He has worked with some of the very talented and popular artists in and outside the world of EDM including, Deadmau5, Kelis, Axwell, Bob Sinclair, Kool and the Gang, Benny Benassi, Kaskade, Steve Angello, and Armin Van Buuren, and many more. His tracks consistently make their way onto the DJ charts, and has been ranked in the Top 3 of Beatport’s Best Progressive House Artist.Although EDX’s involvement in the music world began at a very young age, it was in 2011 when he launched “No Xcuses”, his weekly Sirius XM radio show, which began to bolster his following and popularity to the next level. He spent the summer holding down a residency at Space-Ibiza, which is ranked the #1 nightclub in the entire world. In 2012 he released his 14 track debut album entitled “On the Edge” which he completed after 2 years of work. The album featured some of the inspiring artists in EDM, including Sam Obernik, Tamra Keenan, Jerique, John Williams, Sarah McCleod, and platinum selling artist Nadia Ali.
In 2013 EDX brought out a more “clubby” style of music when he collaborated Leventina. After recording “The Sun” and a remix of Helvetic Nerds’ “Blood Pressure”, he gained support from some of the heaviest hitters in his industry such as AfroJack, Avicii, and David Guetta. He continues to work with very high profile artists while changing his style up, while still staying true to his roots. He created his own record label called Pinkstar Records, and has released many of his own tracks through it. He has taken the EDM world by storm, and his fans cannot wait to see what he does next.
