Death Grips Talent Bio:
Originally formed in 2010 in Sacramento, California, Death Grips is an American experimental hip hop group that is currently signed to Third Worlds. They have a very unique, one of a kind sound as they specialize in a vast variety of musical genres such as experimental hip hop, punk, punk-rap, and industrial hip hop. The group is made up of rapper / vocalist Stefan Burnett (also known by his stage name MC Ride), producer / drummer Zach Hill, and co-producer Andy Morin (also known by his stage name Flatlander). The group has cultivated a large collection of loyal fans and followers including over 250 thousand likes on their Facebook page, over 75 thousand followers on their SoundCloud account, over 90 thousand subscribers to their YouTube channel, and their music videos have been viewed millions of times online, including their video for the song “Guillotine” which has individually racked up over 3.8 million views on YouTube. In January of 2016 it was announced that they were one of the acts chosen to perform at the very popular and massive music festival Coachella 2016 in Southern California.Since first breaking out on to the music scene in 2010, Death Grips has released a total of 6 full length studio albums, while their 7th album “Bottomless Pit” is slated to be released sometime in 2016. The group’s work has been very much loved and appreciated by fans and critics alike, as their 6th album “The Powers That B” reached #3 on the US Tastemaker Chart, #4 on the US Independent Album Chart, #8 on the US Rap Album Chart, and #9 on the US Alternative Album Chart. They are becoming a force to be reckoned with in the hip hop world, as their popularity and fan base are continuing to rapidly grow larger by the day.
