Born in Brooklyn, New York, Dawin Polanco better known by his stage name Dawin is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer who is currently signed to Republic Records. He specializes in the EDM and pop genres, and he has released2 hit single since he came onto the music scene in 2014. He has cultivated a very large group of loyal fans and followers including over 463 thousand likes on his Facebook page, over 81 thousand followers on his Instagram account, and his music videos have been viewed multiple millions of times online, including the video for the hit single “Dessert” featuring Silento, which has individually racked up over 18 million views on YouTube. His career is off to a very promising start, as his popularity is continuing to grow at an astronomical rate.Dawin’s debut single “Just Girly Things” immediately gained him some notoriety as it reached #2 on the ITunes Electronic chart. He used a very innovative promotional technique as he posted six second clips of the track on the Vine app, which led to him signing a record deal with republic in 2014. The track peaked at #28 on the US dance charts, while opening the door for his fan base to experience his creation. His second single “Dessert” made a lot of noise in the industry as it reached #6 on the US Dance chart, #7 on the Australia single chart, #6 on the New Zealand single char, #19 on the Denmark single chart, and #89 on the US single chart. He is positively an artist to watch out for in the very near future, ass his popularity and fan base are rapidly continuing to grow at an astronomical rate.
