Born June 3rd, 1988 in New York City, New York, David Brewster Jr. better known by his stage name Dave East is an American rapper, songwriter, and performer that is currently signed to Mass Appeal Records. His unique vocal delivery and hard-hitting style sets him aside from the pack, as he is quickly becoming a household name in the rap game. Dave East has cultivated a large group of very loyal fans and followers including over 1 million followers on his Instagram account, over 200 thousand followers on his Twitter feed, and over 100 thousand listeners on his SoundCloud account. His music videos have been viewed millions of times online, such as his video for the hit song “Type of Time” which has individually racked up over 4 million views on YouTube. East also starred on BET’s Being Mary Jane series in early 2017, and later in the year will be hosting the 1st annual Goldie Awards in New York City.Since first breaking out on to the music scene in 2010, Dave East has released a total of 3 full length studio albums which are adored by his fans and music critics alike.
